We collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string from your email address (hash) may be sent to Gravatar. Gravatar’s privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

After approval, your profile picture is visible with your comment.

Avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from such images.

If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last one year.

We use a temporary cookie on the login page to check browser support. Login and screen preference cookies last 2 days and 1 year respectively. "Remember Me" extends login for 2 weeks.

Editing or publishing a post sets a 1-day cookie with no personal data.

Embedded content (videos, articles, etc.) behaves as if you visited the other website. It may collect data, use cookies, and track your interaction.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the email.

Comments and metadata are stored indefinitely. Registered users’ data is stored in their profile and can be edited or deleted anytime (except usernames). Admins can see and edit all data.

You can request an export of your personal data or ask us to erase it. This excludes data we’re required to keep for legal or security reasons.

Visitor comments may be screened by an automated spam detection service.
